HISTONE SUPPLY FUNDAMENTALS

We aim to understand more about histone supply chains and how their organisation impacts chromatin functionality. These are fundamental questions in cell biology. We are driven by the research questions we are addressing and we have access to a wide range of state-of-the-art technologies from proteomics to advanced microscopy and spatial profiling. When the right technologies and research questions align with the right research team that's how major scientific breakthroughs are made.

HISTONE SUPPLY CHAINS IN CANCER BIOLOGY

This is a new research avenue for my lab that has grown from the strengths of my department's focus on cancer biology. We are looking into how histone supply chains are organised in a variety of different cancer tissues with the aim of uncovering new drug targets for cancer therapeutics.

PROTEIN FOLDING PATHWAYS

We study protein folding pathways linked to chromatin biology and the histone chaperone network. This is an exciting field of research and we have already identified several of the key proteins contributing to these processes. And what better way to study protein folding than creating novel proteomic assays for mechanistic cell biology.
